While the company didn't share a lot of details, Apple isn't talking about Catalyst, its own framework that makes it easier to port iOS apps to macOS.
- This means that iPhone and iPad apps will be natively compatible with the new models, as they’re designed to run on the same type of processor. According to Apple, apps written for the iPhone and iPad won’t require any modifications to work on a new ARM-based Mac.

Are the Pages and Numbers apps that I originally bought on iTunes for iPad for $9.99 each transferrable to or able to run on 2011 MacBook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.5? The mac app store wants $19.99 each to download. I thought the new operating system was supposed to run the iPhone and iPad apps. My Mac shows the apps in iCloud drive but only opens them in preview. Any way to run these without paying twice for the same app, also curious what apps other people are using in place of these. I use them mostly for basic lists or to open word/excel docs. Thanks.
MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5) Several mac apps dont work show after downgrade windows 10.
