Introduction: How to Make an App Using Xcode
Making an App for apple IPhones and IPads can be very difficult. Once you understand how Xcode works It is very easy to make your own app.
Step 1: What Will I Need to Start
- Using Snow Leopard + Xcode 4.2 + iPad with IOS 5.1.1:) - I used the iPhone configuration utility to get the app into the ipad (you have to add the app, then click on the device, then click 'install' behind the app you just added in the 'application library' of iphone configuration utility) and had to create a Distribution Provisioning Profile.
- To release a MacOS app through the Mac App Store, there is an integrated wizard in Xcode. Distributing your MacOS app outside the Mac App Store is less documented. Open your project in Xcode. Do Product Archive. This brings up the project organizer with a list of archives. So far, this is the same as releasing through the Mac App Store.
- To create an Xcode project for your app, choose a template for the platform on which your app will run, and select the type of app you wish to develop, such as a single view, game, or document-based for iOS. Xcode templates include essential project configuration and files that help you start developing your app.
1)Apple Computer
Xcode is the Mac app that you use to build apps for iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. You use Swift programming, and the many tools inside Xcode, to build applications for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and more. After you create a project, you can build and run your app on a simulated or real device without needing to lay out the user interface or write code. You may connect a real device to your Mac using a cable, or for iOS or tvOS apps, connect it over WiFi after you pair it with Xcode.
2) Xcode app for Macs
3)Swift or C++
Step 2: Swift and C+
Swift and C+ is a basic coding software. Swift is mostly used in Apple apps. To under stand more of Swift you can either download it app(swifty) on to a apple device(not a mac). One you feel like you understand one of these codes really well you can dive right in to Xcode.
Step 3: Xcode Set Up
When the Xcode start up screen comes up you want to click on the second button (Create a new Xcode Project). After you have picked this you will want to pick Single View Application. From there you need to name your product. Through out the project you can change the name so don't spend all your time on it. After you type a name you need to pick what coding you will be using. This will be the fifth bar down. After you are done it will bring you to the final set up set. All you have to do is push create. The file will then be put straight on to your desktop.
Step 4: Xcode
Once you have finish the set up of your Xcode you will get a screen with three windows. On the far left there will be the name of your product and below that you want to look for Main.storyboard and the third to last file that has supporting files. After you click on the file you want to click on the main.m
Step 5: Main.storyboard
First start by using the Main.storyboard. You can create how the app looks. In the bottom right corner you want to click on the button with a square in side of a circle. From there you want to go down to the search bar and type in text. Drag the text box over on to the screen and position it from there. After you have done this you know the basic drag and drop. Play around with different stuff. The more you understand and use it the easier it will get to use.
Step 6: Main.m
The main.m is where the coding goes. It is really easy to use. Once you know how to code it should be easy. Again have fun and mess around with this.
Step 7: Testing
Mac App Store Download Free
Up in the top write corner there is a play button. To test you app push the play button and test out your app. You can change stuff you don't like our that does not work. Dropbox app does not open on mac. Have fun and if it does not work at first try again Its really fun to use once you under stand it. Mac verizon message app.

You can make an app for iOS even if you’re on a PC running Windows 10.
I wish I had known this when I first started because I delayed myself for 3 years before biting the bullet and buying a Mac.
Had I known about running Xcode on Windows or about the solutions below, I might’ve started building iPhone apps much earlier!
Rent a Mac
Before committing to buying a new Mac, you can actually “rent” one for development. You’ll remotely access the Mac and Xcode through your PC.
It’ll be like having the Mac desktop in a window on your Windows Desktop.
The really nice thing about this option is that the cost is really low and it’s the fastest option to get up and running.
If you decide that app development isn’t for you, you just cancel your plan.

(Use coupon code “CODEWITHCHRIS” for 50% off your first month. If you do, please let me know in the comments below. I’ll get a small kick back at no extra expense to you so thank you for supporting my site!)
If you go down this route for iOS app development, make sure you get my Xcode cheatsheet with references and keyboard shortcuts for Windows users.
There are a couple other companies that provide this service:
2. MacInCloud
This is the most well known service out of the three. You won’t have to install Xcode because it comes preinstalled. You can also do pay-as-you-go so it’s a pretty low commitment. Some people complain that it’s slow but you can try it out for yourself since it’s only about a buck an hour!

3. XcodeClub
XcodeClub is run by Daniel who is a passionate developer himself. From the reviews I see, the service is fast and friendly. The pricing is less flexible than MacInCloud and you’ll have to commit to at least a month.

Virtualize MacOS
If you’re a little more technically savvy, you can use virtualization software and run a “virtual Mac” on your PC.
The services above are essentially doing the same thing on their servers and then they charge you a fee to access the virtual machine.
By setting it up yourself on your own PC, you essentially cut the middle man out of the equation.
Unfortunately it does take a little bit of technical know-how to get this up and running.
The two most popular pieces of software to do virtualization are VirtualBox and VMWare Workstation.
You can download them below and then use Google to find a guide on how to install the latest MacOS (Mojave) with either VirtualBox or VMWare Workstation.
After that, spin up your new virtual Mac and download Xcode. This is as close as you’ll get to running actual Xcode on Windows!
4. VirtualBox
VirtualBox is open source software which means that it’s free. That probably explains why it’s a lot more popular than VMWare Workstation when it comes to running MacOS on your Windows machine!

5. VMWare Workstation
Unfortunately you’ll have to pay for this piece of software and at the time of this writing, a license costs about half the price of a brand new Mac Mini which is perfectly suitable for iOS app development. I would recommend you try VirtualBox first or try to buy a used Mac Mini.

Build a “Hackintosh”
You can also build a “Hackintosh” which is a PC that has been customized to run MacOS.
This requires the most effort out of all the options presented so far but it can work for someone who wants a separate physical computer running MacOS.

Third Party Solutions

Lastly, there are many third party solutions that you can use to do iOS development on Windows.

You won’t be using Xcode in these solutions but you’ll be able to generate an app that can run on iOS devices.
